BIOGRAPHY

Mckenzie Diamond is a Guyanese- born singer and songwriter whose music  bridges soulful storytelling with modern-day R&B and neo-soul. Her stage name pays homage to her birthplace the vibrant town of Mackenzie, Linden, in the heart of Guyana- and reflects the deep cultural roots that continue to shape her voice and artistry.

From an early age, Mckenzie displayed a natural talent for music, singing with soul and conviction well before fully understanding the depth of her gift. Raised in Brooklyn, New York, she was immersed in a diverse  and influential music scene that helped sharpen both her voice and her pen. What began as childhood talent shows soon  evolved into a deeper passion- not just for performing, but for writing music that tells a story and resonates with others.

Drawing inspiration from legends like Sam Cooke, Frankie Lymon, Otis Redding, Jackie Wilson, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and many other greats, she crafts songs that feel both time less and fresh. Her style seamlessly blends sultry ballads with old- school soul and contemporary flair, creating emotionally rich, genre -defying music.

As a song writer, Mckenzie writes from a place of truth and vulnerability- penning lyrics that explore love, identity, and personal growth. Whether in the studio or on stage, she brings raw authenticity and passion to every performance.

With a growing catalogue of original music and a reputation for powerful live shows, Mckenzie Diamond has established  herself as a bold voice  in soul and R&B. A true jewel of the Caribbean diaspora- a storyteller, a unmistakable voice and a talent that shines bright like a DIAMOND!
